Siphesihle Mbathawill compete for the Viewers’ Choice Award, which will secure her place in the grand finale set to take place on May 30 in Johannesburg.

Siphesihle Mbatha, a 39-year-old from eMbalenhle, has been named a finalist for the Face of Plus Size South Africa 2026, where she is representing Mpumalanga.

Mbatha will compete for the Viewers’ Choice Award, which will secure her place in the grand finale set to take place on May 30 in Johannesburg.

Speaking about her journey, Mbatha said the competition is about more than just winning a title.

“It is an opportunity to use my voice to speak on issues affecting plus-size women and to promote body positivity, self-love, confidence, and inclusion.

“I firmly believe that all women deserve to feel seen, respected, and empowered, regardless of their size or appearance. Through this platform, I hope to inspire women to embrace who they are unapologetically, while also encouraging society to create spaces where every woman feels valued and accepted.

“As a finalist, I need public votes and support, which would mean the world to me as I continue this journey of empowerment, representation, and positive change,” said Mbatha.

Mbatha is also appealing for sponsorship support.
