Little Paws Big Hearts visits school

Kids learn how to take care of pets.

EVANDER – Little Paws Big Hearts Secunda was invited by Ms Gerda Venter, a teacher of Evander High School’s Land Service to do a presentation on Wednesday, 29 July at the school.

Some of the Little Paws Big Hearts members went to the school and their special guest, Buttons, and a puppy that was rescued by LPBH, joined them.

Ms Ruchel Botes did the presentation on what Little Paws does over weekends and in general.

“Since the founding of our organisation in November 2013 at informal settlements around Secunda, Little Paws Big Hearts is still new to many pupils,” she said.

They were welcomed by a group of eager pupils.

“It is very exciting for our members to educate children and have discussions with them, as we all generally assume that everyone knows how to care properly for their pets.”

Little Paws Big Hearts invite other schools that would like a presentation to contact Ms Botes at 082 442 7988.
