EVANDER – Three suspects aged 28, 29 and 33 years, were arrested in the early hours of Thursday, 13 August.
All three are Tanzanian nationals who were travelling with a mini bus loaded with bags of dagga from Ermelo on the N17 road.
The police received information and their immediate response led to the arrest of all the occupants.
Their vehicle was searched and bags containing 233,46 kg of dagga was found.
Capt Magonseni Nkosi said the dagga was being transported to Gauteng and the vehicle was not reported stolen.
The SAPS commended community members who informed the police.
