Three break into Secunda house

Domestic worker tied and valuables stolen.

SECUNDA – Three men broke into a house in Secunda on Friday, 28 August at about 11.30am.

The domestic worker said she heard a knock on the front door, but when she went to check, there was nobody.

She later heard another knock and became suspicious that something was not right.

She suddenly heard a window breaking.

The front door opened and three men entered the house.

One had a handgun.

Two spoke Zulu and the other one Sepedi.

They instructed the woman to follow their orders or she would be hurt.

She was covered with a gown and tied with cable ties in the dining room.

The men searched all the rooms, stole jewellery and removed a safe that was mounted on a wall in the main bedroom.

They also stole hi-fi’s, a television and an expensive plasma television.

It is not yet known whether there were any fire-arms in the safe or not.

The value of the stolen goods is still unknown.

The police asked anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of the culprits, to contact the Secunda Crime Office at 017 624 2020.
