Basizeni pupils celebrate Casual Day in a special way
Sasol sponsored event and donated R10 000 to the school.

eMBALENHLE – Basizeni pupils celebrated Casual Day in a special way with Sasol and Cincinnati employees.
They began their day in the school hall where they performed various activities and had fun with employees from both organisations.
They were then led outside where they got the surprise of their lives when a jungle gym, jumping castle, pool game, swings and many other games sponsored by Cincinnati were officially presented to them by Mr Johnny van Schalkwyk.
Mr Van Schalkwyk said Cincinnati’s president, Mr Bob Stanger who is based in America, has a soft spot for underprivileged and special needs children.
“Mr Stanger believes in giving and he also believes that when he gives, he will receive,” said Mr Van Schalkwyk.
Mr Stanger visited the school before when he was in the country and committed himself to do something for the children.
“He will be happy today knowing that his wish of helping Basizeni pupils has been fulfilled.”
Sasol also sponsored the event and donated R10 000 to the school.
Mr Doctor Twala, Sasol specialist: Stakeholder Engagement, Policy and Regulatory Public Affairs, thanked the teachers for their dedication and hard work in taking care of children with special needs.
“We know that it is not an easy job, but you have shown great commitment,” said Mr Twala.
Ms Mariete Botha, a teacher, thanked Sasol for buying Casual Day stickers from them.
The acting school principal, Ms Miriam Rampai, was pleased that the children were pampered on the day.
She thanked the sponsors and the teachers who are dedicated.
