Sicelo Ngwenya was recently sentenced to six years imprisonment for housebreaking and theft.
He was sentenced in the Amersfoort Magistrate’s Court.
The culprit was also declared unfit to possess a firearm.
He was involved in 21 housebreaking and theft cases in December 2014.
Ngwenya was a security guard at a hostel in Volksrust.
While the people staying in the hostel were away during the festive season, he broke into 21 rooms.
The stolen goods are estimated at R21 000.
The items include televisions, a music system, laptops, a printer, clothes, groceries, cosmetics and other electrical appliances.
The Amersfoort Police investigated the case.
