The Sakhile Police arrested two suspects on 23 February for allegedly selling drugs to school children.
According to the police officers, they received a complaint from a community member about the suspects.
The police went to the address and found a man outside upon arrival.
They introduced themselves and asked to search him and he gave them permission.
According to the police, they found a mandrax tablet wrapped in plastic in his pocket.
When they asked him about it, he told them that he works for somebody else, who was in the house at the time.
The police went into the house and requested to search the other man, but he refused.
They searched him and found 11 mandrax tablets in a small plastic bag and an undisclosed amount of money.
The suspect told the police that it is not mandrax, but his headache tablets.
They were both arrested and appeared in the Standerton Magistrate’s Court on 24 February.
The case was postponed to 18 April.
