“My daughter told him not open the door because they did not know the people knocking on the door,”

A man was shot six times while visiting his girlfriend in Sakhile on 2 March.

According to Ms Elizabeth Tshabalala, the girlfriend’s mother, her daughter and her boyfriend were in the house when three unknown men knocked on the door.

She said they called out the boyfriend’s name, saying they were there to see him.

“My daughter told him not to open because they did not know the people knocking on the door,” Ms Tshabalala also said.

The men claimed that the man promised them a job at Eskom.

He went out of the house to talk to them and was shot six times.
