School building goes up in flames

The total estimated cost of the damage is more than R500 000.

A fire broke out at Jandrell Secondary school which caused immense damage to one of the buildings.

The building with a tuck shop, literature library, language resource centre, wood work centre, and store room went up in flames.

According to the police statement, Ms Sibongile Nhlapo, school principal, received a call from a community member informing her that the school was on fire.
