Four pupils walked naked and terrified after they were allegedly stripped naked by a farmer on Roodebank Farm.
According to the police, the teens between 16 and 17 years old, were walking on the farm on 8 April, when they saw two light delivery vehicles approaching them.
They noticed it was the owner of the farm, his brother and their friend.
They alleged that the farmer told them to get into his light delivery vehicle because he wanted to report them to school.
They got into the vehicle, but to their surprise the farmer did not stop at the school.
The teens alleged that the farmer’s friend who sat with them in the back of the vehicle, told them not to try to escape because he would shoot them.
They claimed that the farmer and his friend left the teens naked and stranded on the Greylingstad Farm.
The teens claimed they were mocked by people and some took pictures of them.
After a long walk they got to another farm and were given maize bags to wear.
Capt Magonseni Nkosi, police spokesman, condemned the actions and said people should stop taking the law into their own hands.
“If the farmer suspected that the children were going to commit a crime, he was supposed to call the police.
“It is sad that this happened to children and allegedly by adults.
“Let us all unite and protect our children.”
The 60-year-old farmer is expected to appear in the Evander Magistrate’s Court.
