Two men were arrested for dealing in drugs in Sakhile on 9 May.
According to the police, they received a tip-off from the community about the men.
The police went to the address and found two suspects.
They asked to search them and found mandrax tablets in their possession.
The owner of the house had 16 tablets on him and the other man had three.
The police also found R275 in the owner’s pocket while searching him.
When he was questioned about the illegal substances he said he sells vetkoek and the tablets to earn a living.
The police questioned the other man and he said he was there to buy vetkoek.
He later changed his statement and said the owner gave him the tablets to sell.
They were both apprehended and taken to the Sakhile Police Station.
The Sakhile Police are investigating the case.
