eMBALENHLE – Two Lesotho foreign nationals were killed on Saturday, 14 May on separate occasions.
In the first incident, the deceased was shot dead by a fellow countryman in their residential area in Extension 26.
According to the police, an argument erupted between the two while they were drinking and the suspect took out his gun and shot the man dead.
The suspect fled the scene and is still at large.
In the second case, a Lesotho foreign national was stabbed to death while he was with his friend in Extension 10.
The police said the friend of the deceased told them they walking when two men confronted and pointing a knife at them and told them to lie down. The deceased tried to run away, but one of the suspects chased and stabbed him to death.
“No one has been arrested yet, but we are working around the clock to apprehend the suspects,” said Capt Mgonseni Nkosi, police spokesman.
