eMBALENHLE – A police reservist appeared in the Evander Magistrate’s Court for corruption on Wednesday 25 May.
Mr Gert Mokoena was arrested the previous day after the police had received a complaint that he was involved in the selling of a stand.

Upon investigation, the complainant discovered that the stand did not belong to Mr Mokoena.
The complainant had a sworn affidavit that Mr Mokoena had sold him the land.
Capt Magonseni Nkosi, police spokesman, said it disturbing that police members are implicated in crime, because they should lead by example.
