A security guard and members of Kasselman Security Services chased after a suspect who tried to steal cables at the back of Toga Linings on 27 May.
The alleged thief gained entry through a fence by cutting through it.
He then cut an electric cable that was apparently not live at the time.
According to Mr Jabu Hlope of Kasselman Security Services, the mentioned guard took notice of the suspect and called Kasselman.
Two Kasselman security guards arrived on the scene and found the suspect trying to steal the cable.
“He saw us and immediately fled the scene,” Mr Hlophe said.
The three security guards chased him and soon caught up with him and arrested him.
A case was opened at the Standerton Police Station.
