A housebreaking and theft case was recently opened after thieves broke into a house in Sakhile and stole goods worth R2 200.
According to the complainant, he was at work when the incident occurred.
He said he ensured that the door was locked and the windows were closed before he left for work.
The thieves forced the door open to gain entry into the house.
According to him, they stole some of his clothes, shoes and groceries.
The complainant reported the theft to the Sakhile Police and said he does not suspect anyone.
Const Phakiso Tsotetsi of the Sakhile Detectives is investigating the case.
The police urged the community not to buy stolen goods and requested them to report illegal activities in the community.
