SECUNDA – Kiran Ramraj was sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of his domestic worker, Ms Nozi Sibiya (54) at the Ermelo High Court today.
He was also given a five-year life imprisonment for Arson, five for kidnapping and another five years for malicious damage of property.
Ramraj was arrested on Friday, 7 November at 2am near Sasol Garage in Secunda after police found the naked body in a garden flat in Umzinto Street, Extension 22, on 6 November.
Member of the ANC and community leader, Mr Sydney Sihlalo along with Extension 18 residents who have supported the family, welcome the sentence.
He said this proves that people can still rely on the country’s justice system.
