LEANDRA – A N17 Leandra tollgate employee who is facing fraud charges, was released on bail of a thousand rand in the Evander Magistrate’s Court.

The 23-year-old man’s court case was postponed to 6 May for further investigation.

His arrest came after the police received a tip off from a witness who saw skimming taking place.

The Hawks Serious Commercial Crime Investigation’s provincial spokesman, Lt Dineo Sekgotodi, said the suspect was arrested at the Leandra Tollgate on 26 April at about 11am.

He was found in possession of a debit card skimming device that he allegedly used to skim motorists’ debit cards.
