SECUNDA – The Community Policing Forum (CPF) and Servest Intervention Unit took hands on 23 June for routine searches of green strips in various areas of Secunda for anything illegal.
They found dagga, nyopi, Cat and a tactical knife.
No stone was left unturned to secure the area.
Mr Bjon Wright from the CPF said it was a successful venture and urged people to join the CPF to prevent crime.
Joining your local CPF can help combat crime and assist the police in their efforts to keep residents safe.
Parents must be vigilant and know about the whereabouts of their children.
If you notice something that does not seem right, contact the police and do not try to go into any situation alone.
It is the duty of community members to be the eyes and ears of the police and the CPF.
The illegal substances found were taken to the Secunda Police Station and booked in as evidence.
Nobody was arrested.
