Mr Ndoda Mbatha died after he was hit by a car while he was crossing the road near Platrand on 3 July.
According to the Perdekop Police, he died on the scene.
“His family identified him moments after the accident occurred,” W/O Harry Moloi, communications officer of the Perdekop Police, said.
According to the police, the driver said he did not see him.
