Sapromo members threatened

Sapromo condemns the recent threats made to its members

BETHAL Sakhisizwe Progressive Movement (Sapromo) has laid a charge of intimidation after some of their members were intimidated by unknown men.

According to the party leader, Mr Sbu Hlolweni, two of the party’s leaders and the office administrator were threatened by unknown men wearing balaclavas.

He said in the first incident, a man wearing a balaclava went to the house of the organiser of the party’s Ward 15 and when he did not find her in the house, he told her children to tell her not to be associated with Sapromo.

He said the latest incident happened at their head office in Bethal where a man wearing a balaclava threatened their administrator.

“We have just signed a code of conduct, but some people are already infringing the oath they made in Mbombela during the signing of the code of conduct.

“Sapromo will let the law take its course, however we are not going to tolerate these threats and will have to retaliate if possible.”

Bethal police are investigating and no one has been arrested yet.
