eMBALENHLE – An 11-year-old girl was found dead in Ext 17 on Friday, 12 August.
According to the police, she disappeared the previous afternoon after returning home from school.
She was last seen playing with her younger brother.
Her family reported her as missing after they had searched for her without any luck.
Her body, that was lying in the street, was spotted by a community member.
The police visited the scene and it was established that the girl had sustained a wound to the face.
It is also suspected that she might have been strangled.
Capt Magonseni Nkosi said a case have been opened and no one has been arrested yet.
