eMBALENHLE – A 26-year-old man fired nine shots at his 59-year-old father and then killed himself in Extension 9.
According to information received from the police, both the father and the son were home when the father’s wife who was not home, tried to call them but did not get any answer.
She finally called her younger son and requested that he check if everything was fine at home.
Upon arrival yesterday afternoon, the younger son saw that his father had sustained multiple shot wounds, his brother had one wound in the back of his head and his licensed firearm was lying close by.
Currently police are still trying to establish what might have led to the shooting which is believed to have occurred on Friday night.
