KINROSS – A man was arrested for murder in Kinross on Saturday night, 3 September.
He was coming from a tavern with another man and a woman who was said to have been too drunk to walk home.
When the men decided not to leave her in the road but to carry her, two other men approached them and demanded to take the woman.
It is alleged that the man who later died had a knobkerrie and wanted to fight.
The suspect took out a knife and allegedly tried to defend himself and stabbed the man in the hand.
He was taken to hospital where died.
Kinross Police Station confirmed that a case of murder was opened and the suspect appeared in the Evander Magistrate’s Court on 5 September.
