Vukuqakase Secondary School prays for the exams

Prayer for Grade 12 pupils ahead of exams

LEBOHANG – Vukuqakaze Secondary School held a prayer event for the Grade 12 exam on Friday, 14 October.

It was organised by the local youth inter-domination called JIM with the school.

The event was aimed at praying for a peaceful examination and giving encouragement to the pupils.

Mr Mlotshwa from Govan Mbeki Municipality encouraged pupils to be more focused and to dream big for their future.

He urged them to work hard in order to be successful.

“Our country lacks educated people and our hope lies that you will change this.

“Education is the key and without it, life is a struggle.”

Past Sifiso Mathebula from the Unfailing Love Worship Centre shared Philippians 4:13 that says: “I can do all this through him who gives me strength.”

“You have to put your trust in God and believe in yourself.

“Ask the Holy Spirit to help you remember everything you have studied.

“However do not make the mistake and think that prayer substitutes study.

“I have noticed that during exams, some pupils go through challenges like stress and unnecessary distractions.

“I believe the prayer conducted here today, shall bear fruits.”

Best performers and teachers were also awarded at the event.

Pupils signed the national senior certificate pledge that heeds a national call to all Grade 12 pupils across the country to honour and comply with the exam regulations.
