Child hit by taxi at filling station in Sakhile

A seven-year-old child was hit by a minibus-taxi at the Shell Filling Station in Sakhile on 17 January.
The boy ran directly in the way of the approaching vehicle.

Capt Fanie Nhlabathi, communications officer of the Standerton Police, said the taxi-driver was on his way to Standerton when the accident occurred.
The boy’s condition could not be verified.
Capt Nhlabathi urged parents to always keep an eye on their children.
“Accidents happen in a split second,” he said.
