Kedibone empowers the needy
Kedibone Jozana has established the Confidence Campaign with an intention collect donation for the needy in the area.
SECUNDA – Ms Kedibone Jozana, a managing director at a local company, is aiming at restoring the dignity of and inspiring young boys and girls with low self-esteems.
She established an initiative campaign, Confidence Campaign, to collect donations for the needy in the area.
Ms Jozana is collecting sanitary pads, school shoes, school uniforms, stationery, two matric farewell outfits, vouchers and money, among other things.
The money will be used to buy some of the things needed.
Ms Jozana said the Confidence Campaign is not going to be a once-off initiative.
“The goal is to visit and reach out to as many schools as we possibly can in the Govan Mbeki Municipality.
“In the long run, we are hoping to grow and support other schools as well in the Gert Sibande District Municipality and Mpumalanga as a whole.”
The idea for the campaign came when Ms Jozana saw the need to give back to the underprivileged learners from Sizwakele Secondary School.
She took it upon herself to begin this campaign that will afford all learners from disadvantaged backgrounds an opportunity to build confidence by constantly reminding them that their circumstances should not determine or define who they become.
Together with Ms Paulinah Maluleke, a teacher from Sizwakele Secondary School, they will be working hand in hand to identify learners who are in need and those who will benefit the most from this initiative.
“We appeal to all individuals and businesses to reach out and support this initiative with the little that they can.
“We thank each and every one in advance and ask you to make a pledge to make this initiative a success.”
