KINROSS – The clinic situated next to Sasolia Primary School in Thistle Grove, caters for Kinross town, Thistle Grove, Afghanistan and Marikana.

Residents are dissatisfied with the long queues and the shortage of staff at the clinic.

They were also moved from the old building to the new structure which is very small.

“They should put chairs at the old building and let us sit in there,” said a local, who added they sit outside even in hot and cold weather.

They also mentioned only one person is working in the administration department which delays the process, as they have to wait for her to look for their files and to capture

them on the computer.

The elderly who collect their medication, are apparently standing in the queue for up to eight hours.

“The clinic should use the old building for the collection of medication by the elderly or come up with a better strategy,” said a resident.

Another local said when they complain about the long queues and the shortage of space in the clinic, they were told to write letters of complaints and put them in the suggestion box.

Kinross Clinic was contacted and they referred the newspaper to the district office.

Ms Nomcebo from the district was in a meeting and could not comment.
