Naledi is a hemiplegic and needs your help

His bubbly personality coupled with self confidence makes it easy for him to socialize.

The 19-year-old Naledi Nqiwa is a hemiplegic with very poor muscle tone in his arms.

He was born as part of a twin and is the eldest of four children of unemployed parents.

His bubbly personality coupled with self confidence, makes it easy for him to socialise.

Naledi became a learner at Basizeni Special School in March 2009.

“I admitted him in March 2009 when he arrived at the age of 10,” said the school principal, Ms Miriam Rampai.

She said Naledi always cooperates in class and his father said he is very active and able to do many things for himself.

“My son loves to sit outside the house and getting a motorised wheelchair will make it easy for him to drive in the yard.”

His father further said Naledi also enjoys going to the mall.

The motorised wheelchair costs R40 000 and the school already have R8 000 which they received from Hoërskool Oosterland.

This money was raised during the recent Wieleskou.
