Buciko Private Clinic opened its doors in Evander
“I saw a need to relieve some of the pressure from the public health system by providing the same services at a minimal fee.”
The Buciko Private Clinic opened its doors on Monday, 10 July and offers primary health care services to the public.
It was the brainchild of Dr Ntombikayise Mbokane, a professional nurse with a doctoral degree in literature and philosophy.
Dr Mobokane said the need to open a private primary health care service was born through the magnitude of patients visiting public health care services.
Dr Mbokane said working parents are afforded an opportunity to call and book for services such as immunisation of babies, so they can rush in and out of the clinic to cater for their busy schedules.
After hour services will also be made available on appointment.
The clinic takes cash, uses a swipe machine and medical aid cards are accepted as well.
“The clinic provides services such as family planning, minor ailments, pap smears, wound care, and more,” said Dr Mbokane.
She also mentioned that the clinic is registered for centralised chronic medicines dispensing and distribution.
