Ms Bitta was born and raised in Elobret in Kenya as the youngest of four daughters.

She also studied in Kenya to become a teacher.

“I initially wanted to study law, but was forced into studying for my teaching diploma.

Ms Bitta joined her family in South Africa in 2005.

Ms Bitta was once again able to ply her trade as a teacher in 2007 when she became part of the SCA team.
