SECUNDA – Members of Sector 2 Community Policing Forum (CPF) got together on Thursday, 12 July to discuss crime-related problems in their area.

Mr Alf Claassen, chairman of the sector, said housebreakings have increased and residents were concerned over warnings that they received of people who allege to be Eskom workers and visit houses and rob people once they gain access to the house.

However there were no reported cases about these incidents.

Mr Claassen said another concern is people scratching in the black refuse bags and then leaving the rubbish on the sidewalk.

“The refuse removal trucks do not remove rubbish on the grass that is not in bags,” said Mr Claassen.
