Foundation in eMbalenhle gives bread to more primary schools and day-care centres

Centre gives children more than bread.

eMBALENHLE – Mr Nkosinathi Hleza, founder of the Nkosinathi Da Poet Foundation, received a sponsorship from the Uxolo Lwethu Confectionery Bakery on 23 July so the foundation can now reach out to more children in need.

“We take care of more than a hundred children and do not only feed them, but we also let them take part in performing arts, learning programmes, netball and soccer,” said Mr Hleza.

“Because we have received the sponsorship, we can now support more day-care centres and primary schools in the Gert Sibande District with bread daily.”

Mr Hleza thanked Mr Mabutho Khumalo, manager of Uxolo Lwethu, and the former mayor, Ms Flora Maboa-Boltman, for their support.

The Nkosinathi Da Poet Foundation is now registered with the South African National Community Theatre Association.
