Siyolisiwe from Evander wants to win Miss Tertiary SA pageant

Vote for Siyolisiwe Mdingi to win Miss Tertiary SA

EVANDER – Ms Siyolisiwe Mdingi is passionate about education, fashion and modelling.

She is a finalist in the Miss Tertiary SA Pageant and believes that winning the pageant will give her an opportunity to fight social ills faced by women and children in South Africa.

Ms Mdingi (22) is a third-year financial accounting student at Damelin College in Braamfontein, Johannesburg.

She was born and raised in Evander and went to Thistle Grove Primary and completed her matric at Hoërskool Evander in 2014.

Her passion for fashion and modelling began when she was young when she dressed up and requested her brother to take photos of her.

“I believe I always looked good in those photos, because the camera loves me.

“My friends encouraged me to take modelling serious and I decided to get an agency.

“I have entered many competitions and even asked brands to work for them for free because I like dressing up and posing for the camera.

“I wouldn’t mind doing that as a job, I wouldn’t even consider it a job because I would be doing what I love.”

Ms Mdingi said the Miss Tertiary SA Pageant is open to South African students of all legally registered private and public colleges and private and public universities in South Africa.

It is aimed at nurturing beauties with the purpose of positively impacting their lives through scholarships, mentorship and exposure that will enable future opportunities while creating jobs in various sectors.

“Winning the competition would really open opportunities for me and maybe I can live my dream much more earlier than I had imagined.

“I will continue with my studies, because one of the prizes is a scholarship. I want to be an educated model.

“I want to make an impact in the lives of girls who are facing various challenges in life.

“I want to give them hope. Everything is possible, you just have to get up and brush off the dust and start again.”

To win the pageant she needs votes.
