Municipal workers finally installed a new transformer in Bethal and residents in the CBD and the plots area had electricity over the weekend again after nine days without power.
However this afternoon, Extension 3 and the plots area experienced another power outage as the electricity went off again.
According to Ms Marietjie Fourie, DA Councillor, this is because of a cable fault in Extension 3 and the electrical team is currently there to locate the fault and repair it.
In the plots area, municipal workers temporally switched the electricity off to locate the cable fault in Extension 3.
