Police arrest four drunk drivers in Bethal over the weekend

Police to enhance their patrols in the roads in attempt of reduce car accidents

BETHAL – Four motorists were arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol over the weekend of 11 August.

The crime prevention unit was conducting a stop and search in the area when the suspects were apprehended.

“Arresting motorists who drive under the influence of alcohol will reduce the number of accidents in the area,” said Const Thomas Mogadime, police spokesman.

“We are doing excellent work to prevent fatal accidents by arresting drivers who are caught driving while under the influence of liquor.

“Driving under the influence is a serious offense and is punishable by law.”
