Me. Liezl Bothma, short term insurance broker, explained the importance of society caring for senior citizens.
“We did not come out of nowhere, we are born of them, therefore we should say thank you at every chance we get,” she said.
Anderson and Partners plans to do this event once every month at all the old age homes in Standerton.
The learners then sang and danced for the 20-odd citizens who attended the event.
Their music rendition made the aged men and women request an encore, to which the young ones more than happily complied.
During the music event, the learners handed out sweets to their honoured guests and after the song and dance, the Grade 1 to 3 learners spoiled them with desert.
The old age home thanked Anderson and Partners and handed every learner a certificate of gratitude.
A box for donations will be placed at Anderson and Partners offices in 40A Beyers Naudé Street.
