Residents clean streets of Evander in cold

EVANDER – The police “arrested” some people in aid of Mr CJ Stuart’s Clean Up Evander Campaign on Saturday, 18 August.

Mr Stuart began with this initiative in July and had a good turnout of people who helped to clean many streets of Evander.

His idea for Saturday was to have people “arrested” and keep them hostage until they send 10 people to help and clean, upon which Mr Stuart released them.

The cold wind kept a few of his “suspects” indoors, but some showed up and Evander Police helped with the “arrests”.

Mr Stuart is planning another clean-up action soon.
