Rescue workers use jaws of life for trapped patient on N17BETHAL -A man was seriously injurred in an accident on the N17 highway near Bethal this morning, 1 September.

ER24 personnel suspect that the driver of the car went into diabetic hypoglycemia and lost control over his vehicle at about 2.30am.

The car rolled several times against a barrier.

Rescue workers used the jaws of life to free one person with head injuries from the wreck.

He was transported by ER24 and another seriously injured patient was transported by Bethal EMS to the Bethal provincial hospital.

ER 24 thanked Bethal EMS and Stratconrisk Tactical Medial Support Unit for their help and efficiency to get the patient out in time.
