Terblanche couple’s dream becomes a reality with Catchframe Productions

Zelda and Marius Terblanche were given a new chance at love when Zelda laid eyes on Marius. They are now happily married.

SECUNDA – Catchframe Productions is the realisation of a lifelong dream for Mr Marius and Ms Zelda Terblanche.

They have given their full attention to building their business and gaining the trust of their clients.

Ms Terblanche does the photography side and Mr Terblanche the videography.

They were given a new chance at love when Ms Terblanche laid her eyes on Marius.

They are now happily married and share a passion for photography and videography that have played a big role in following their dream and starting the company.

Mr Terblanche grew up in a Christian home in the Eastern Cape.

He later moved to Sasolburg and became a process controller, then a training facilitator at Sasol where he worked for 24 years.

While managing the video department at the church that he attended, his love for videography grew. He began freelancing.

“I would drive to Johannesburg to rent cameras, do a gig in Secunda and then drive back to return the equipment,” he said.

He one day reached a critical point in his life during which his relationship with God became his main focus and his life fell into place.

Having a dream and being able to trust that everything would work out, is a challenge that they have managed to overcome.

Ms Terblanche grew up in Standerton. She worked at Mediclinic, then joined Sasol in 2011 as an enable practitioner.

Once she set her eyes on Mr Terblanche, she knew that he was the one for her. After his proposal, their wedding was planned in three days.

Ms Terblanche’s natural knack for creating beautiful images and bringing them to life, is her main focus, as well as keeping the business in order.

Mr Terblanche resigned from work in October 2017 just before they got married, to pursue his lifelong dream.

Now, nearly a year later, Catchframe is the glue that keeps the couple working together.

“We see life through the lens of a camera. Every day is different. I just love it,” said Mr Terblanche.

“The best thing about our partnership is that we balance each other out. I am the creative one and Zelda is the structured one.”

They explained the importance of having quality equipment.

“We keep up with the trends and use leading equipment. Technology plays a big role in our work. We are on top of our game.

“It takes passion, commitment and creativity to produce a beautiful end product,” said Mr Terblanche.

The name Catchframe was established after Mr Terblanche had realised that memories are captured by catching frames in a video.

“Our main goal is to work on weddings, getting into corporate video production and television. We want our clients to trust us to capture, edit and produce a pleasing end result,” said Mr Terblanche.

“We do everything together. There is no pressure. It makes the dream work.”
