Football school partners with Laerskool Leandra
Founder wants to develop local talent at schools.
The I Promise Football School has partnered with Laerskool Leandra to develop and promote football at the school.
According to the founder of I Promise Football School, Wesley Ntshangase, the collaboration aims to introduce and grow school football, as Laerskool Leandra previously had no football teams.
“Before this agreement, Laerskool Leandra allowed us to use their premises and soccer field for our training programmes,” said Ntshangase.
“As we strive to produce players of high quality who can compete at international standards, the school expressed interest in us introducing football as a sport, since they previously focused on other sporting codes.”
Ntshangase added that the football school is open to working with other schools that need help in developing their football programmes.
Through such partnerships, I Promise Football School also aims to identify and nurture talented players, with some being integrated into their development structures.
