The Bethal CPF committee urged residents to ask themselves why they are on WhatsApp groups.
“Are you just there for information or do you want a group that gives help when you need it?” asked chairman of Bethal CPF, Mr Jaap Pretorius.
According to Mr Pretorius there is currently a big confusion regarding all the different groups.
He said if a group does not have the CPF logo, then the group is not co-operating with the CPF.
“It is not because we don’t want to, but some groups prefer to work alone,” said Mr Pretorius.
“Bethal CPF is currently the only organisation that works hand in hand with the police.
“We are also the only organisation that has monthly meetings with the police to help and sort out any concerns.
“You will not see CPF sign boards all over town for the simple reason, we do not look after boards we look after the people in the community.”
Mr Pretorius said the CPF does not choose whom to help, they do not ask monthly donations and they work within the laws of South Africa.
The CPF works hand in hand with HABPS Security which is a registered armed response company and the only company involved in the community l, regardless if the person in need is a client or not.
“Choose wise as your life might depend on it.
“Make the right decision when you need help.”
