Suspects were responsible for the theft of brass stop valves at Ace Hardware in the Oriental Plaza on 21 May at about 8am.
The items, valued at R1 646, were stolen from the shelves.
Kasselman Security Services (KSS) was at MRS Scrap Holdings in the industrial area after a call about a fight at the premises.
Messrs Gideon Ras and Dumisani Hadebe apprehended two suspects in connection with the theft after discovering the valves.
One of the suspects said an employee of Ace Hardware instructed them to sell the goods.
The worker was also apprehended and all the suspects were handed to the Standerton Police.
Their date of appearing in the Standerton Magistrate’s Court could not be confirmed at the time of going to press.
