Alleged Secunda dumpsite stabber appears in court

According to dumpsite scavengers, the two men were fighting over a fire late the previous night and the victim was severely stabbed.

SECUNDA – The man suspected of gutting another at the Secunda dumpsite on Tuesday, 14 May, is still in police custody.

The 50-year-old appeared in the dock the following day, but was not asked to plead.

The Trichardt Police arrested him on the dumpsite when he showed the police and the paramedics where the injured man was.

ER24 paramedics, Evander EMS and the police carry the injured man across the dumpsite to the ambulance.

The suspect was making his way on a crutch over the rubbish hills and slopes. He is apparently disabled.

According to dumpsite scavengers, the two men were fighting over a fire late the previous night and the victim was severely stabbed.

His intestines were hanging out when ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene early in the morning.

The victim has been rushed to the Evander Hospital and then transferred to Witbank.
