Sasol Techo X 2019 is here

SECUNDA – This year’s Sasol Techno X is ready to make an impact on the future of the youth.

With 55 exhibitors from public and private sectors as well as education institutions and Sasol Operating Model Entities (OMEs), this exhibition will be filled with innovation and motivation.

The diversity of the exhibitors is intended to expose young people to the wide choice of careers within science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).

The exhibition will also offer learners the opportunity to showcase their artistic talents through an art competition, a fashion show that allows learners to make garments from used recyclable materials, as well as a science competition.

Wow shows, where scientific principles are demonstrated to inspire and motivate the next generation of scientist.

Sasol Techno X will also provide job opportunities to the local youth.

About 270 young people from the Govan Mbeki Municipal area will be employed as buddies and guides over the five days of the career exhibition.

Local SMMEs will also be afforded an opportunity run their own food stalls and tuck shop.

Among those exhibitors that will be at the Sasol Techno X are: 

Higher Education Institutions such as Unisa, University of Limpopo, Vaal University of Technology, Wits University, Sol Plaatje University, Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University, Gert Sibande TVET College, Maluti TVET College; Government departments like the Department of Education, South African Police (SAPS), Department
of Culture, Sports and Recreation; and the Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries; Corporate companies like MegChem, Proconics, Stanley Inspection, Komatsu, SUNSTEP, Aqua Amazing and Sasol Science Centres, Limpopo Science Centres and Osizweni Science Centre and the very popular Kalahari Scientist.
