NDP Foundation gives back to community

The main City 2 City event will take place on 19 October and Mr Hleza said those interested, can already book their tickets for the day.

KINROSS – Volunteers of the Nkosinathi Da Poet (NDP) Foundation recently launched their City 2 City one can walk-project.

They also introduced their Adopt a future leader-initiative to the community.

The Paradise Children who are part of the NDP Foundation, also attended the launch in Kinross.

With this initiative a businessman or entrepreneur commits to taking care of a learner by dressing the learner, taking that learner to school and providing stationary for the learner.

The volunteers also visited the Sasol Recreation Club in Kinross where a 5-a-side tournament was held and informed the soccer players about their projects.

The foundation collected donations of drinks, soccer balls, mielie meal and sanitary towels that they will provide to the needy.

They also performed for some of the shop owners. Mr Nkosinathi Hleza, founder of the NDP Foundation, said seeing young and old watching their performance, were exciting and made them believe in themselves more.

The foundation donated a soccer kit to the eMba Paradise FC soccer team and R1 000 to the Oorkant Library and Computer Centre-project.

The donations and projects were part of the foundation’s contributions to celebrate Mandela Month in July.

The Paradise Children also visited Bethal during the month.
