SAKHA, a non-profit organisation, is looking for 20 volunteers to help them in reaching every child in need of assistance for school work.
The organisation has the following requirements: in possession of a Grade 12 certificate, identity document and an early childhood development certificate will be advantageous.
They need people with a caring and patient nature, excellent communication skills, ability to work in a team, able to handle stress and think on their feet, adaptable, leadership skills as well as an imagination, coupled with creativity.
Learners who under-perform will be helped by implementing strategies to boost self-esteem and confidence and parents will also be visited at home and workshops implemented.
Volunteers will liaise with relevant professionals such as educational psychologists, social services and the police.
