eMBALENHLE – Police are investigating a shooting incident on the R546 Road at about 11pm on Sunday, 11 August.
According to the police, a motorist was driving from Evander to eMbalenhle when he was caught in the middle of a shoot out.
The motorist was allegedly caught between two vehicles, a Golf and a Polo, when he heard gunshots and saw the occupants from the Polo shooting at the Golf.
The driver of the Golf managed to escape, but the suspects kept firing at the vehicle.
The motorist also fled, however the suspects followed him until he reached the Mandela Section traffic circle.
It is alleged that eight shots were fired.
