EVANDER – An Evander resident is offering a R5 000 award for information that can lead to the successful arrest and conviction of a burglary suspect.
The suspect and two accomplices managed to make their way into the home-owner’s yard at about 3.30am this morning, 28 August.
Video footage shows the man walking up to the security camera at the back door and then using a screwdriver to change the camera’s angle.
The house-owner said his barking dogs scared the burglars off.
He posted this video online and another resident responded with a security camera photo of a man resembling the suspect.
She said the person in that photograph broke into her home in Evander in December 2017.
The matter has been reported to the police.
