No weapons found at K.I. Twala Secondary School

A large number of residents mobilised themselves and went to K.I. Twala Secondary School and demanded to enter the school to identify the alleged gangsters.

eMBALENHLE – Disgruntled residents of eMbalenhle took to the streets in search of suspected gangsters who are allegedly terrorising the community.

The operation began on Sunday, 18 August and continued the next day.

A large number of residents mobilised themselves and went to K.I. Twala Secondary School and demanded to enter the school to identify the alleged gangsters.

Police were contacted and on arrival met with the community leaders and the school management team.

Const Busi Mthethwa, police spokesman, said the police were told that learners were carrying dangerous weapons and decided to conduct a search.

No weapons were found at the school.
