New Denmark Colliery is committed to address social challenges

The school infrastructure project, amounting to R3 782 491,51 forms part of NDC’s commitment to address social challenges.

New Denmark Colliery of Seriti recently handed over a newly built facility to Ulwazi Primary School in Thuthukani.

The school with about 498 learners, now has two new classrooms, an ablution facility, a kitchen, office and play area.

The school infrastructure project, amounting to R3 782 491,51 forms part of NDC’s commitment to address social challenges.

The mining company collaborated with Komatsu that donated furniture for the two classrooms.

“Investing in education and the youth of South Africa is important.

“It is our way of becoming part of providing early childhood development opportunities,” Mr Gavin Silver, general manager, said.
